Followups:
keyword=Y cavity and stripline position differences compared to blumi1 asym.
The cavity monitors still don't appear to be working perfectly, although they
are working better than they were during the beginning of the Hydrogen run.
Figure 1 below shows the correlation between the normalized asymmetry in blumi1
vs. position differences in the y cavities (top 2 plots) and vs the position
differences from the striplines (bottom 2 plots) for slug 1. The plot in the
upper left is the plot for cav2y which shows a non-linear response in the
blumi1 asymmetry vs position differences. The bottom left shows the linear
response of the blumi1 asymmetry to position differences as measured by bpm4by.
The upper right plot shows the response of the blumi1 asymmetry as compared to
beam position differences in cav3y which is slightly alinear.
Figure 2 shows the same plots for slug 13 after the cavity crate was reset and
phases readjusted. One can see that the response of the blumi1 asymmetry vs
cav2y pos. diffs is still alinear, but in a less dramatic way than it was
previously. The response of the blumi1 asymmetry vs cav3y pos. diffs seems as
linear or nearly as linear as the striplines now.
So, the cavities are working, but not yet as well as the striplines...
