A short summary of what has been done today : - a spare Lecroy 428F Fan In/Out which turned out to be bad and gave it to Delisa. - got another module which checked out ok - replaced the module labeled F12 by the module forementioned - the module F12 (PAOM0937 B54482) was checked and seemed ok, so it might be kept as a spare though it seems that the change solved the problem of the group - looked at the sum 5 which generated very high rates and with the help of Bogdan eventually traced it to one of the S5-2-ANU coming out from the summing module. I took some time with Shigey to find the S5-2-ANU signal since there is a labeling error and this signal should in fact be labeled S5-1-ANU and is part of S4, so looking at the other end of the cable at the Lecroy Fan In/Out for S4 I found that the lemo cable was loose and needed to be reseated, this solved the high rate problem.

Jon also fixed map issues and display of the scaler with the F1 TDC with Stewe Wood and looked but I guess he can be more accurate about that than I.

I took a quick pedestal run 1510 before leaving when they were done with the DAQ : F1 TDC were giving error message, I think Robert Feuerbac is looking at the problem right now and Jon might continue tomorrow work on that tomorrow so all F1 will be running.

    Pending issues with neutron arm after a quick look at the pedestal we still have : s1-02-L s1-03-L n4-06-L n1-05-L n1-26L v1-39-L v1-40-L ( wide even without veto ! ) n1-15-R, n3-31-R, n4-16-R n6-34-R s1-07-R, s1-08-R with wide pedestal values to be checked.

This could be due to light leaks, amplifier or whatever... so I will turn off the HV on those channels. Don't forget to turn them back on if you look at them ! I did not check if all the HV were by the way, so we will have to take a pedestal run with everything on.

    So getting there...

In attachement, the HV status after I turned off the forementionned HV channels and a pedestal display of run 1514 (looks like HV off did not improved anything ).

    Regards,

    Alexandre
