First, slowly increase the temperature to 245C. Then, after the alignment is complete, slowly turn on all four lasers (please note in the paper logbook and the HALOG what the effect on the temperature is when the lasers are turned on).
Then, take one NMR measurement every hour for four hours. After these four measurements, reduce the frequency of measurements to once every 2 hours. After 4-5 of these, we will be very close to the time that the hall opens, so we can evaluate our plans at that time.
Please take NO EPR measurements tonight, as we would like to get a good spin up curve. This curve will give us a lot of information that will help us to optimize the polarization.
Please also HALOG every measurement that you make. We are in the process
of establishing a new calibration constant, so please quote the signal
height in millivolts. The polarization given by the fit program will not
be accurate.
