    With Doug's help and using a large (3mm)^2 raster, we saw the edges of the He3 target for central beam positions at 4Bx at -4.4 and -2.0mm, and at 4By at -2 and +1mm. This means the edges of the target are around:

    Bx = -5.9 and -0.05,
    By = -3.5 and 2.5.

    So the optimal beam position is at Bx=-3. and By=-.5 was chosen. For a (2mm)^2 raster, this leaves roughly 2mm on a side around the center before reaching the edges. See Arun's shift summary and rate summary for the results of the raster-size study.
