    keyword=Target: entry for RTD

    At about 7pm, we noticed that the oven RTD (which is used to control the oven) was flashing "OPEN". Because of this, one of the heaters turned off. We have two more RTDs in the oven, and I made an access around 10pm to attach one of the other RTDs to the control circuit.

    After the access, the oven returned to control and we were able to turn the lasers back on and begin pumping on the cell.

    When I connected the new RTD (which is a slightly different position than the previous RTD,) I noticed that the temperature was lower than I would have expected. Because of this, the new set point is 255C. We can re-evaluate this temperature when we have collected data on the spin-up.

    Speaking of which: the plan for tonight is to continue pumping as long as possible at this temperature. At around 1:30am, we will try to take data on the polarized target. We MUST make an NMR measurement at this time.

    Since we no doubt lost polarization, polarization measurements should occur every 3 hours after that, until the polarization started to level off.
