After the access, the oven returned to control and we were able to turn the lasers back on and begin pumping on the cell.
When I connected the new RTD (which is a slightly different position than the previous RTD,) I noticed that the temperature was lower than I would have expected. Because of this, the new set point is 255C. We can re-evaluate this temperature when we have collected data on the spin-up.
Speaking of which: the plan for tonight is to continue pumping as long as possible at this temperature. At around 1:30am, we will try to take data on the polarized target. We MUST make an NMR measurement at this time.
Since we no doubt lost polarization, polarization measurements should
occur every 3 hours after that, until the polarization started to level off.
