    keyword=Momentum Coefficients

    I've calculated a new set of momentum calibration coefficients which should be valid for the 2.5 and 3.4 kinematic. Below are the plots of the difference between calculated momentum and what we expect from the electron scattering angle by itself, against focal plane X and inverse deflection angle. The resolution appears to be on the same level as what we had before (around 1.5%ish). I'll try and get more statistics to get a better idea of what our resolution is.

    These coefficients will be put into the databases running from 03/09 to present shortly.

    Also, the BigBite magnet readback appears to have changed from 710 to 706 beginning March 17. I'll investigate if this has an effect on the momentum reconstruction. Fortunately, we have some hydrogen runs taken on the 9th or 10th which should be sufficient to do a recalibration for this period of necessary.
