Note that T8 is hard-coded to have a prescale value of 210 in the TS crl code.
Right now datamon does NOT handle T8 correctly in its online calculation and produces a bogus deadtime if the (ignored) prescale value in 'prescale.dat' is non-zero.
So, leave ps8=0 in the prescale.dat file please (at least until someone corrects me or fixes datamon).
Runs 3291 and 3292 were taken prior to T8 being installed (datamon deadtime: 5%).
Runs 3293, 3294 were taken with a non-zero ps8 entry in prescale.dat and had bogus datamon-computed deadtimes (63%)
Run 3295 has ps8=0 (datamon deadtime back to the 5% that it should be for this set-up).
Runs 3295--3300 had various permutations of 'pedestals=1000' or
'npeds=1000' added to the prescale.dat in an attempt to collect that many
pedestals at the start of each run. From the code I think 'pedestals' is
the correcct string, but I couldn't find a varient that would actually
work...
