Stage 1:
The first step involves running the TS crate in 'ROC-lock' mode (un-buffered) but have all the other crates running buffered. This only requires a change to the ts_list.crl software and will hopefully gain us a factor of two reduction in deadtime. The crls for the other ROCs look like they are in good shape.
BOB: can you confirm that the scalers in bbvme1 (ROC23) will operate correctly in buffered mode? (Are the helicity scalers running in latched mode and, if so, will they work in buffered mode correctly?)
I still have to make a new GeN_buff CODA configuration -- I'll do that in a bit and make another log entry.
Stage 2:
This requires some hardware changes to the TS crate (at minimum,
replacing the 1182 ADCs with a VME ADC that supports buffering). We
won't do this right now.
