    keyword=Maintaining target temperature

    Because the high power heater is not working properly it is temporarily necessary for the target operator to maintain the temperature manually. The alarm handler has been set to warn (yellow) when the temperature is 19.0 +/- 0.2 K. At that point the JT valve should be adjusted in fine steps - 0.5 is probably sufficient. Note that the bottle pressure should not be allowed to drop below 16 psi. It is currently 17.5 psi. (The pressure readouts for loop one are temporarily printed on the loop 3 charts.) Note also that the temperature of the coolant being supplied to the hall is itself slowly dropping in temperature - currently 14.84 K. This means that the JT valve will need to be occasionally closed in small steps.
