keyword=Half-wave plate changesThe enclosed screen grab is a summary of the half-wave plate changes as logged by MCC or halog since the beginning of the run, including the first run affected according to our start-run entries.
Please note that the endrun EPICS variable for run 1532 incorrectly reads the wave-plate status as "in", whereas the start-run EPICS variable reads "out", which we know to be correct.
The reason for the discrepency is that there was a time delay from the ending of run 1532 and the generation of the endrun file. During that time delay, MCC changed the half-wave status and the new variable "IN" was picked up by the endrun.
It is therefore probably best to use the startrun EPICS variable to set the half-wave status in the analysis and exercise particular caution with the runs immediately before and after a half-wave change.
