Leader: Bryan Moffit
Target: Elena Khrosinkova
Beam Energy = 0.362 GeV
Summary
Beam delivery troubles throughout shift. Module that reads out liquid
levels for Right Q2 was replaced during a short controlled access.
Significant Events
- 08:00 Began shift with no beam.
- 08:20 MCC calls and says they're
preparing our line for beam.
- 08:25 Heidi calls because she noticed
that RQ2 tripped on low cryolevel. I reset it from the GUI, cycled
it, and set it to the value shown on the printout.
- 08:52 MCC says they will begin sending CW
to check steering.
- 09:25 Cryo flow to RQ2 troubles continue.
Ed Folts paged, and he says he'll be in contact with the proper
people.
- 09:30 Ed calls back and says it's
probably not a real flow problem. Need to take an access to check the
meter. MCC is still working on beam steering, so I told Ed that we
would page him when they are done (ET 1-2 hours).
- 09:55 Status check from Alexander
Camsonne. He just wants to make sure the analysis software is ready
when we get data.
- 11:05 Status check from Brad.
- 12:30 5µA CW. Performed a harp scan.
- 12:40 Another harp scan. Then MCC takes
beam back to tune, to check response of Ion Chambers (not working?).
- 12:48 MCC returns CW. Ion Chambers still
have no reading, but system is alive. They said we can run like this.
- 12:57 Ion chamber readings return, after
MCC contacts SOC.
- 13:01 Moved to BeO viewer. Didn't
observe a spot on the target. Bad camera angle?
- 13:17 Moved to Carbon target.
- 13:30 Moved to Tantalum target.
- 13:50 Asked MCC for escorted controlled
access.
- 14:09 ARM arrives for access.
- 14:25 Heidi returns from the Hall. Back
to beam permit. Replaced a liquid level readout module on Right Q2.
- 15:00 MCC has trouble delivering CW.
