I replaced the 24V supply. I noticed that the "power on" LED was green.
The other raster supply has a red LED. Clearly the green LED caused the
problem and all LEDs should be changed to red. I also noted that the
labels on the 2 DB9 cables do not match the labels on the power supply
DB9 connectors. There is no readily available documentation on the wiring
internal to the power supply. I mention these because I am a little tired
and this added confusion is pretty bad for the functioning of the hall.
The outputs of the 24V supply are reversed from what appears to be the
new, replacement 24V supply in the other raster supply. So, looking at
the other supply to verify the wiring is not a good idea. Fortunately the
wires from the 24V supply are green and yellow, the universal colors of
environmentalism and fear. That helps to make the solution to the problem
less transparent. It would help if the labels on the RG-58 cables also
matched the labels on the BNC connectors on the power supply. I'm going
back to bed. Have a nice day.
