keyword=Ozone monitor restored to operation
We entered the hall to determine why the ozone monitor flat-lined
beginning last Saturday afternoon. We carried in a replacement ozone
monitor box from Patty Hunt, in case the installed ones were bad. On
entering, we observed that the irritant gas level was uncomfortable when
we took off our respirators to smell it. The ozone monitor box local
indication was at the bottom of its range. The new monitor read the
same, when we powered it up. We installed the new monitor on iocha12,
but the read-back never changed. We tried to reboot the ioc, but it
would only talk to the network, not to the VME bus. Called Jack to see
if there was something else we could do, and he worked with Pam Kjeldsen
to change something in the code which allowed iocha12 to boot completely
and talk to the VME bus. The readback jumped up to .0141 ppm. We exited
the hall.
