    keyword=Day shift Log

08:00 Shift started with radiator in at 30uA. The downstream BCM seems
to be loosing lock from time to time, although at this point it has been
stable for the last hour. We need to coordinate our higher current
running with Hall C (which is scheduled for high current running, but
occasionally runs at lower current) to run the radiator out at 50uA.

09:01 Hall C RC let us know that they will be in access and making an
energy measurement for the next 1 to 2 hours.

09:31 Noticed that BCM started drifting about 10 minutes ago, run #1416.

09:53 Changed to radiator out, requested 50uA, while Hall C is making
    their energy measurement.

09:55 Talked to the "BCM Expert" who is no longer seeing current from the
machine protection readout. He asked if we were seeing current (we are).
    He's coming out.

10:20 The going hypothesis from John, the BCM guy, is that the frequency
converter has drifted and thus the downstream BCM has stopped tracking.
He'll need an access to go check it. I've passed it off to the RC.

11:00 Continuing to take radiator out data while we can. We'll go back
to Radiator in at the next run. Oddly enough everyone is running the
current they've requested, and there's no complaining!

    12:01 Changed to radiator in 6%, 30uA.

14:50 HRS-R Q1 drifted low and re-regulated on its own. Effected run
#1422 at or about event #800K

15:00 HRS-R Q1 Troublsome again. Tried forcing it to regulate and it
seems to have settled down, although, it may not be talking to us. It
says "MAGNET MISMATCH" in yesllow. I called J. Larose and he suggested
talking to the tech. who would know more about this error than he does.
Things seem OK right now,a nd the Heartbeet is winking at me. For now
we'll just keep an eye on it. The crew is going to look at the power
supplies tomorrow to see if they can understand why they're doing ths.

16:00 Ended shift running 6% radiator in.
