Leader: Bryan Moffit
Target: Octavian Geagla
Worker: Khem Chirapatpimol
Beam Energy = 1.655 GeV
Summary Mostly production data. Much time taken to change
spectrometer angles and magnet setpoints between kinematics.
Significant Events
- 00:00 Began shift in the middle of Run 1575 on the 3He, 50µA,
Radiator Out.
- 00:21 Finished Kinematic 5a.. start
preparing for 5b.
- 01:00 Finished setting HRS momenta,
angles. Target now at Carbon optics. Asked for 50µA, raster off.
- 01:12 Move to 3He. Put in 6%
radiator.
- 01:18 Total ready for beam.
- 01:28 Ron Gilman checks in.
- 03:08 Radiator Out. Increase beam
current to 50µA.
- 03:38 Asked for no beam to change targets
and move to kinematic 5D.
- 04:10 Finished moving spectrometers.
Still waiting on Right Dipole.
- 04:40 Right dipole finally settled.
Asked for 50µA on carbon optics.
- 05:03 6% Radiator In. Move to
3He.
- 05:15 Discovered that 3He cell
was already in position. Looks like the change to optics target did
not occur during the kinematics change. Took the radiator back out,
and moved to optics target. Hopefully the racetrack endcaps are still
okay.
- 05:45 Change to 3He target.
6% radiator in. Start with 40µA to be safe.
- 06:18 Bump current up to 45µA.
- 08:00 Passed Run 1585 to day shift.

"Good news everyone!"
A lecture on how we know, through the process of elimination, that the
electron tastes like grape-aide.
