    keyword=1458/1461N HV trip problem

    Wow, the non-linear max current vs. voltage relationship in the 1461 is kind of strange. Note however that the 1440 crate has a similar 1 mA limit at 1 kV and it still works...

    What is the measured current draw at say 400, 800, 1000, and 1200V on the 1458/1461N combo? Are you really riding the 1 mA line at 1kV?

    FWIW I also notice that the 1461N spec sheet says that you can set a hardware voltage limit "one per card". Though even if such a limit was set, it probably wouldn't generate a trip, it would just stop ramping... Might be worth checking if the 1 kV draw is under 1 mA though.
