    keyword=Loss He Expected

    We are expecting a discontinuation of service of helium form CHL sometime over the next 24 hours. This will require our cryotargets to warm up while the vaporizer for the CHL and the return line is defrosted. To compensate for this, and make sure the Helium data is collected, we will be taking ALL of the Helium data for all kinematic settings at 60 degrees first, followed by the lead settings. This way, if the cryo group decides that things are getting worse much faster than they expected, we don't loose the helium and lead data at this beam energy. We are expecting to perform a pass change tomorrow so we can't easily go back to collect these data points once we leave this pass.

    The current plan is:

    All He settings will be taken on the Left arm, and those which we can get with the Right. Repeat for the Pb target. this is, of course, less than ideal, but I'm trying to do what I can insure that we can get the cryo-dependent data should things go bad fast.
