keyword=BB E/dE gain and discriminator threshold calibration with QE C dataAn iterative calibration of both HV settings and discriminator thresholds for the BB E and dE planes has been completed with Quasi-elastic data from a C foil target at 5 microamps.
HV tune was already pretty good. Only small (5 - 15 V) changes were needed. The L-R balance was maintained throughout the calibration procedure.
Discriminator threshold for the E plans has been set to 320 mV. The dE threshold is 200mV.
Attached picture shows E vs dE plots for all paddles following calibration.
Next step is to look at elastic data from the LH2 target and set minimum
E threshold so as to accept 700 MeV/c protons.
