keyword=BigBite Chamber HV Set To 1500VAfter looking at the elastic data from last night, it is shown that very little is lost by lowering the chamber voltages by 50V to 1500 while dramaticly lowering the background and number of tracks being found. Looking at either wire hit or the present BB.tr.n variable shows little change in zero tracks while a large change in the number false tracks. You can see why this is by just looking at runs 2508 and 2500. 2508 has a voltage of 1500 while 2500 has a voltage of 1550. I have cut on left HRS and selected a E plane proton. The lower voltage has the clearer elastic peak.
