    keyword=Pion Cuts in Left HRS

    Figure 1 shows a plot of the uncalibrated energy over momentum spectrum
    from the pion rejector. The black line is without any additional cuts.
    The red line has a cut on the gas Cerenkov sum below channel 100 to
    select pions, and the blue line has cut on the gas Cerenkov sum above
    channel 300 to select electrons.

    Even though the pion rejector is not calibrated, pions and electrons are
    still well separated in the pion rejector. A cut on E/p between 0.04 and
    0.12 will yield mostly pions. A cut on E/p greater than 0.45 will yield
    mostly electrons. Plus the gas cerenkov is in good shape, though the
    calibration is not yet final.

    I calculated E/P with the following expression:
    "(L.prl1.e+L.prl2.e)/(2350*(1+L.tr.tg_dp))". I added cuts on the event
    type (T3 or T5), required that the pion rejector had a hit in both layers
    (L.prl1(2).asum_c>0) and a +/- 0.05 cut on delta.
