Followups:
keyword=Added plate in front of BB Cerenkov witness PMTI added a 1" thick Al plate in front of the witness PMT (figure 1). I suspect the bulk of the background is coming from the target side, so I chose to do this first. We'll see what, if any, difference it makes.
Next access I'll add shielding all around the box.
