keyword=Compton wiring change
The signal cable to the Compton photon DAQs is now wired slightly differently.
Previously, the signal cable went into a linear fanout. One of the fanout's outputs was sent to the logic for the new FADC, and the rest of the fanout was reserved for the original counting DAQ.
Now, the signal cable goes into a passive 4-1 splitter (located in the NIM bin associated with the new FADC). The x4 side goes to the FADC input; the x1 side goes to the same linear fanout as before. A single output of that fanout is used for the FADC trigger logic. Nothing else is changed.
If, as Gregg and I suspect, the GSO Compton signals will be much higher than the ones measured by the PbWO4, then the additional x1/5 attenuation should help us keep the Compton spectrum in range in the counting DAQ.
