keyword=Compton Spectrum with New GSO and Tube/BaseGregg Franklin and I have obtained a Compton spectrum in the counting Compton DAQ with the GSO swapped in (with a new PMT and tube base). We're running at -1600 V with a gain of 1, a threshold of 4 and a gate time of 217 ns.
Fig. 1 shows the Compton spectrum.
Fig. 2 shows the measured asymmetry at 7-8%.
This looks like a good place to run! We also see a clear Compton spectrum in the FADC; watch this space sometime tomorrow.
