    keyword=Syncroc Problems: What to Look for

    The syncroc check ("Sync Check1(straight lines)") had to be changed to display in color after a change to the way data were organized in online.C. This makes the plot look different from what we're used to.

    Fig. 1 shows an example of a BAD syncroc check. Note the large gap in the lines, similar to what we've seen before. That's the syncroc problem -- the DAQ just stops collecting data during that gap.

    Fig. 2 shows an example of a GOOD syncroc check. The lines may look a little pinched in the middle, but that's an artifact of the binning and it's fine.

    What we're looking for are the obvious gaps as in Fig. 1; please HALOG any of those you come across.
