keyword=BB Timing Signals from Crate 8 Look Okay

I took a look at other BigBite timing signals in Crate 8 to see if they depended on the structure in the F1 reference signal differences.

Fig. 1 shows a representative plot for a right shower bar PMT and Fig. 2 shows a representative plot for a left shower bar PMT. Each color represents signal corresponding to a different range of the F1 signal difference (see below). The plots show no major differences in structure, only differences in scale. The green histogram displays a more pronounced shoulder on the left, but this is exaggerated by the log scale, and a similar shoulder on the blue histogram may be masked by low statistics.

I generated the three colored histograms using cuts on the F1 signal difference (DBB.f1s8ref0[0] - DBB.f1s5ref0[0]), dividing that difference into three ranges.

In Fig. 1, the red histogram shows the signal when (DBB.f1s8ref0[0] - DBB.f1s5ref0[0]) < -2000. This corresponds to the dominant structure, on the left of the F1 reference histogram.

The blue histogram shows the signal when -2000 < (DBB.f1s8ref0[0] - DBB.f1s5ref0[0]) < -1800. This corresponds to the central peak in the F1 reference histogram.

The green histogram shows the signal when (DBB.f1s8ref0[0] - DBB.f1s5ref0[0]) > -1800. This corresponds to the structure on the right of the F1 reference histogram.
