First look at the beam in the Hall A Compton Electron detector region.

In view of the commissioning difficulties of the new and improved Compton electron detector, we installed a beam beam viewing target to check for gross misalignments. It is 12x8mm (HxV). The beam ought to hit the center of it, if alignment is perfect.

As seen from image below, within an mm or two the chicane beam is right on where it should be. I would have been happy if the beam hit anywhere on the viewer target!

I can safely rule out any misalignments in the commissioning problems.
