keyword=BB dE dead channel #9 fixedToday during the controlled access I was trying to fix the dead TDC
channel #9 (#8 if we count from 0) in the dE-scintillation plane of
the bigbite.
First I checked if the signal from the amplifier comes to the input
into the discriminator. I realized that there was no signal.
Therefore I started tracing it back. When I was moving the output cables
from the signal splitters (that split signals from the amplifiers into
two copies one for the TDCs and one for the Trigger) the signal
reappeared. It seems that the connector for this channel was not plugged
well into the module. I have disconnected this channel, checked the
connectors and plugged the cables back in. Afterwards I have taken a test
run with cosmics and it seems, that the channel works again.
