keyword=Shift Summary
Both HRSs at 17 deg, momentum setting in both: 3.08550 GeV/c,
beam energy: 3.605655 GeV.
08:00 Shift starts with no beam due to CHL problem. The Lightning strike around midnight in the accelerator made CHL down.
The RC (Peter Monaghan) informed us that the beam study planned for tomorrow is undergoing now (today).
08:30 Since we are down at least all this shift, we ask for controlled access possibly to move the Neutron Detector to a new position (to be determined after consulting spokespeople. Actually the plan was to move during tomorrow's beam study.) and possibly other opportunistic work too.
11:30 Miscellneous target work ensues.
13:45 Bryan (and myself) went to RHRS to check busy signals from ROC1, ROC2 and ROC8. See separate halog entry 271228 about this.
14:00 Moving neutron detector to 62.5 deg and 5.5 m from the target.
16:00 No beam whole shift. Shift ends with the hall still in controlled access.
