keyword=Compton Cavity StabilityThe cavity lock instability mystery is solved. The problem appears to be due to thermal oscillations at high laser power. Possibly mode mismatch at high power as well. Backing off on laser power from 700 to 500 mW improved lock stability. Interesting to note that while reducing laser power, the cavity still locks at about 700W. This is due to improved mode matching at lower power.
Please do not change any settings on the lock electronics unless you know what you are doing. Monitor stability over the next few days.
