    keyword=Right Q2 - latest trip

    After Robert adjusted the controls for the cryogenics, we ramped up RQ2 after things seemed rather stable. RQ2 sat at 1400A for a brief bit and then dumped. All things cryo seemed to be OK. I think the power supply tripped on its own. This is either a lead voltage fault or a coil voltage fault. Either is never a good sign. The lead flows look OK. I have never checked the quench protection circuits on this supply, things may need some adjustment. Ideally we would like to go into the hall for a number of hours to verify the magnet and supply are OK, at a time when people have had enough sleep. It may have been a bit of excessive noise in the circuit and it will run fine after this. There is no definitive answer unless a scope is put to the supply. In the interest of getting data, it may be reasonable to try resetting the supply and taking it to a lower current. If that is stable, ramp it up in increments to 1400A. But, if it trips again don't push it.
