    keyword=access for compton

    Before the access, we did some tests with the pulser signal which is plugged into the first channel of the photon scaler. The DAQ crashes when the rate of the pulser is high. The approximate limit is about 120kHz. Rate higher than 120k will crash the DAQ. During the access we checked the scaler which we thought might be causing trouble crashing the DAQ. Took a couple of runs with pulser rate 120kHz. can see the lights of the first channel and the trigger blinking while taking data. The light of the first channel is pretty intense since the rate is high. Also took a run with the pulser unplugged, which crashed the DAQ with a lot of error messages printed out. It looks like the scaler is basically working. Still need to figure out what causes the crashing. For now, we'll just run with a big FIFO size, which can keep the DAQ stable for long enough time.
