keyword=RHRS s1 3rd and 4th ADC
It looks like the reason why we don't see 3rd and 4th ADC for s1 is that the
database is wrong. I was taking some test runs and working in the directory
happexsp/onlana. In the database for s1 (I'm asumming it's in the sub directory
DB/20090602), the ADC channels for the 3rd and 4th PMTs are set to 61 and 62,
which is not true. We checked the cables and found that the two PMTs are
connected to the 3rd and 4th channel of the ADC(slot 25). So I changed the
database (saved the old one as db_R.s1_Nov3_2009.dat) and reanalyzed the data.
The first graph is for the RHRS run 4735. The 3rd and 4th of the left pads have
signal now. However, the shape is different from the others. In order to
confirm that we are seeing the correct signal, I changed around the HVs(they
were -1900V before change) for these two PMTs and took several runs:
run 4736, HV for 3rd PMT is 1800, HV for 4th PMT is 1800
run 4737, HV for 3rd PMT is 1750, HV for 4th PMT is 1750
run 4738, HV for 3rd PMT is 1700, HV for 4th PMT is 1720
And we do see the ADC spectrums shrink as we decrease the HVs, which implies we
are really seeing the 3rd and 4th PMTs now, meaning the database is correct now.
The second graph is for the run 4738. The spectrum for the 3rd PMT looks
different, but the two PMTs are basically working.
There's some problem with the left 5th PMT now. Not sure what is the problem.
Will check it later.
