keyword=Compton tune improved but not perfect, possibility of scrappingThe tune of the injector was improved so the detector could be put in measurement position and now has about 1KHz/uA of background at 115 uA.
We saw the Compton ion chamber starting to read so there is some possibility that the rate is mostly due to scraping. Trying to close the slit did not reduce the background which could be consistent with scraping. So Reza will leave the injector tune this way. I will check the positions in the chicane and we might try to move the beam around a bit to see if we can reduce the background rates further.
