11/12/09 Swing Shift Summary

Shift workers: J. P. Chen (SL), B. Zhao (TO), S. Phillips (3rd).

Weather has been pretty bad: Nor'easter causes heavy rain with strong wind. It 
will be like this until sometime on Friday.

16:00 Recovering from down. Beam position, raster etc. already checked. In the 
proceee of ramping down VDCs.
16:05 VDCS are down requested MCC for 100 uA.
MCC has problem raising current beyond 10 uA. Working on path length problem.
16:38 beam current coming up to 100 uA.
16:40-16:57 Rupesh did PITA run and turned on HAPPEX feedback.
Rupesh also turned on dithering.

Compton experts (Camsonne and Friend) are working on optimizing conditions for 
the Compton detectors.
18:10 beam off, MCC said maybe 10 minutes.
18:30 Diancheng Wang ran flipper (which should be run every time 
after 1/2 wave plate change).
18:35 MCC had more problems: there was a power surge, acused multi crates off. 
19:20 Called MCC, MCC said it would be at least another hour.
20:50 MCC called, ready to send tune beam.
21:25 Beam tune done. Asking for 2 uA for a harp scan.
21:34 Asking for raster 4x4 (MCC), doing spot++ with left HRS,
rates are fine (R:1.8kHZ, L:8kHz). ramping VDC up.
21:44 asking for raster 6x6 (MCC), doing spot++ with left HRS.
Rates are R:1.7KHz, L: 7 KHz.
VDC HVs up at 4 KV.
21:50 Qsq measurements for both HRS'.
21:53 tuning VDC HVs to 0.
21:56 asking for ramping up to 100 uA.
22:02 resume production.
24:00 smooth production.
