Run Coordinator's Report for Friday November 27 Day to Saturday
November 28 Owl
Summary
- 4 Owl shifts in the next week need a shift leader.
Please sign up!
- We took 20 hours of ABU over the last 24 hours in which we completed
slug 9 and achieved ~150 K good LD2 pairs for slug 10.
- There were beam quality concerns and a high trip rate during Swing
shift. MCC raised the Compton ion chamber trip rate. The Compton rates
have deteriorated significantly since Wednesday, the high voltage has
been lowered to 1400 V. We will ask MCC to tweak the injector.
Run Plan
- High current production running throughtout weekend.
- Today there will be some dead time studies for about 2 hours at
variable currents.
- Tomorrow there will be Compton studies for about 3 hours at low
current, possibly combined with opportunistic Q2 measurement and
Moller.
