Run Coordinator's Report for Sunday November 29 Day to Monday
November 30 Owl
Summary
- 3 shifts in the next week need a volunteer. Please sign
up!
- The Right HRS Q3 magnet was down during this period so data was
taken on the left arm only.
- We achieved 15 hours of ABU in the last 24 hours in which we
completed slug 10, took ~400 K good LD2 pairs for slug 11 and almost 3
hours of Aluminum asymmetry - all on the LHRS only.
- Some
low current Compton studies were done during Day shift at ~1 uA. The
slits were closed to shorten the bunch length and the electron detector
was inserted. The background rates were still to high to observe the
Compton edge on the electron detector.
- Swing shift had DAQ problems with first the network switch in the
Left HRS needing to be power cycled and then later the same thing in the
Right HRS.
Run Plan
- We are in access to fix the RHRS magnets.
- On swing we intend to do a Moller polarisation
measurement.
- If the RHRS is up then tomorrow we will take vertically polarised
beam.
- On Wednesday the LHRS kinematics wil be changed to mirror the
RHRS.
Requests
- 4 shifts in the next week need a volunteer. Please sign
up!
- Shift Leaders: please write a detailed shift summary (here
is a great example) and submit the BTA for each shift. Please log
CODA reboots in the halog and shift summary.
- 3rd person: Please make sure to start and stop the HRS DAQ
at the same time as the parity DAQ and to do the prompt analysis and the
HRS analyzer for every run.
- 3rd person: please keep a careful eye on the online data display.
Most problems can be caught quickly this way.
- Please make sure that the shift checklist is done once each shift.
Data taken
- Production charge taken in the 24 hours ending Monday Owl: 2.5 C
- Total production charge taken in all, end of Monday Owl: 45.8 C
