    keyword=re: left arm scalers

    If you look at any end-run entry in halog for Left HRS runs you'll
    see that the scaler is reading -1 on all channels. This symptom of
    the SIS3800 scaler means you have to power-cycle the scaler. Some-
    times it's enough to reboot the crate but apparently that was tried.

    And I don't think you can say "xscaler is not working". xscaler is
    a GUI that displays the values. It is probably still working (I'm
    not able to check it from here, though.) It's the scaler itself
    which has a problem. The code that fills the halog is an independent
    code. Another independent code is "scread". You can do the following
    on a-onl to see -1 everywhere : "cd ~a-onl/scaler/left ; scread".

    It's probably not important enough to interrupt the experiment -- we're
    not measuring cross sections and we have rate info from the PVDIS DAQ.
