keyword=Compton photon detector can see the targetIt appears that the Compton photon detector background rates depend very much on whether or not the lead target is in the beam.
Background rates are 300Hz/uA with the target on empty, and 7150Hz/uA with the target on thick lead centered on the collimator. Background rates are 7040Hz/uA with the detector completely out of the Compton beamline. This is all at HV=-1900.
We will need to install shielding tomorrow.
