    I looked on a scope at the raster when synched to the
    start-of-multiplet signal (formerly called QRT) versus
    not synched. See fig 1.

    The X and Y frequencies are 25.08 kHz and 24.96 kHz.
    The scope confirms this but it's impossible to tell (by scope)
    if they are different.

    When not synched, the triangle wave rolls past the 30 Hz trigger.

    When synched, the triangle wave stays more or less stationary
    but fluctuates back and forth by +/- 5 usec.
    This is true for both X and Y.

    This is what we have .... now I have to figure out if this is
    adequate or if a change is needed.
