I realized I forgot to plug the connector back into the I/O card which controls the DAC. I also re-discovered that I had buffered the DAC output to the HP1313 in the Slow Controls VME crate. So, the dipole responds to a change in set current. We can also see that the power supply was behaving the way the DAC output was telling it to, see the EPICS channel HacR_HPE1313A:0_Ch24. Not sure what was going on there, but that will wait for a different day. We will do a little more checking of the dipole supply tomorrow.
