keyword=Update and plan for Day and Swing shift
1. We took a Controlled access this morning so Neil Wilson could check
out the pressure regulator that Jack valved off last night to verify that
it didn't impact any systems in use. He confirmed that valving this off
should not affect anything in the BSY since they are now getting their
LCW from a different source.
2. At the same time this confirmed that the issues with the Compton
dipoles seen last night are not directly caused by valving off this
pressure regulator. We will defer action on the Compton until Beam
Studies Thursday.
3. Alex, Charles, Bob (and more) took advantage of the access to do some
DAQ and trigger work.
We are now done with the Controlled Access and resuming the elastic data
taking started on OWL shift. The goal is to complete this program and
then change the LHRS polarity to negative (this afternoon) and set up in
DVCS kinematics. Experts will be needed to verify acceptable dead times,
DAQ configuration, etc. in this configuration.
Some longer term items to be potentially addressed this week:
1. Another Moller run to check polarization after photocathode work -
this could be deferred until ...
2. Spin dance is on the white board for next Tuesday: this relies on your
fearless RC getting the Hall C Moller going this week.
3. We need more statistics to test the target boiling - this should be
easily accomplished once we are at negative polarity. Electrons are
better for this kind of study anyway.
