keyword=ADC helicity and pedestal subtractionThe ADC helicity online plots started showing different results than expected. Attached plots from two different runs 8412 and 8414. the helecity suppose to be 50:50 as in 8412.
The run in between 8413 is a pedestal run, and we believe that after run 8313, the DAQ is using pedestal subtraction.
Keep in mind that the ADC measurement of the helicity is only a backup method for the measurement of the helicity. Still it would be better and easier to not use the pedestal subtraction scheme for these variables (Crate 4, slot 24, channel 32, 33 and 34).
P.S. Nothing to worry about, it is only amatter of display.
