In order to include additional signals into the scalers, several modifications of the right arm's electronics were needed. Several other modifications were also done.
1) Because the LDU Delay modules have not yet been programmed with the correct delays necessary for use with the 1875 TDC module, they have been removed and an earlier configuration with the TDC and Scaler ribbon cables have been restored.
These include the two LDU delay modules in the NIM crate in RR1 and the delay module in the top NIM crate in RR3.
2) As S0 only consists of two cables (three if you count a logical combination of the two signals), they have been merged with the Cerenkov electronics. As such, the S0 NIM Fanout module has been moved to the NIM crate in RR1, with its outputs going to the ADCs and to the discriminators used with the Cerenkov signals in the NIM crate in RR2.
The logic signals then go into the NIM-ECL Fanout with the Cerenkov logic signals, where they go out with the TDC and Scaler signals.
The two CAMAC modules previously used with the S0 signal, specifically a 4413 Discriminator and an ECL Fanout, have been left in place in CAMAC crate 2 in RR2.
3) Two modules in the top NIM crate in RR3 were decabled and removed, initially to provide room that was later not needed.
4) A dual gate generator module in the NIM crate in RR2 was removed, as it was no longer needed in the setup.
All modules that were removed, except the LDU delay modules, are sitting on the extra crate on the desk/shelf in the Right HRS hut, next to the laptop.
5) And now to the changes in the scalers.
The eight triggers, along with the ADC gate signal, the S1 (ORed) signal, the S2m (ORed) signal, the L1A signal, and the strobe were all included in one group of signals going into the top of slot 0 (an 8x4 SiS36/38xx), channels 16-31. (The other 16 channels are not currently used.)
The luminosity scalers go into the top of slot 1 (an 8x4 SiS36/38xx), channels 16-23. The bottom slot isn't currently used.
S2mL goes into slot 2 (a 4x4 1151E), S2mR goes into slot 3 (a 4x4 1151E), and S1 goes into slot 4 (a 4x4 1151E).
As mentioned before, the Cerenkov signals and S0 share the same scaler group, going into slots 5 (a 4x4), with the Cerenkov corresponding to channels 0-10 (10 being the Cerenkov sum), and S0 corresponding to channels 12 and 13.
6) Also, the ADC gate signals, which were originally part of a more complicated module setup in the NIM crate of RR2 has been moved to a single ECL Fanout module in CAMAC crate 2 in RR2 (which had previously been used by S0).
