keyword=BB Sieve is out & a saftety prop is installed

I wanted to confirm that the field probe was still in the BB magnet (see later halog) so I opened the BB sieve and installed a piece of scrap Al pipe taken from the unused 'uni-strut pile'.

The post is now labelled and is hearby annointed the official "BB Sieve Plate Prop". Please do not move it, or its C-clamp from that general area.

Note that we will probably want to close the sieve before we take first beam (easier on the chambers).

    Three safety notes:

    1) The target is under vacuum. As a general rule, you should be using hearing protection if you are near the pivot. (Not needed if you are behind the black BB "wings" working on the detector stack.)

    2) The area downstream of the target (near the HRS quads) is a presently a radiation area (yes, still). Do not go there.

    3) Do not move the BB sieve-plate without explicit authorization (and training) from Ed Folts, Brad Sawatzky, or Doug Higinbotham.
