    keyword=Run Plan for overnight Friday

    Please keep track of the coulomb count for the good runs and record it in the shift summary! This is what we would like to use to determine when we will change kinematic settings. Ole made a nice script to count the amount of charge from the run ends, given a range of runs. It looks for "Production" and "LH2" runs.

    Make sure the 3rd person replays the data and looks at the online GUI and the ndelta plots.

    The plan for the rest of day and overnight is:

    * Collect 1215 mC at kinematic setting #6. This will probably take until around 11pm, so make sure to keep track of the charge collected. The first run is 2314. Make sure to do a 1hr Al run and a 5 min BeO run in the middle of the setting.

    * Call Doug in (when you start the last run for the previous setting) so he can move the LHRS from 13.5 to 46 degrees in order to do setting #7 in the run plan. The RHRS doesn't change.

    * Check the signal-to-noise in the standard plots (instructions posted near adaql2) and adjust the prescales to get the rates posted on the white board. Post the plots. If it looks much better, we may try to run at higher currents, keeping the DT <=10% and the DAQ rate to <3kHz. Keep running at 40uA unless you hear from the RC or one of the spokespeople.

    * Collect 1823 mC at kinematic setting #7. Make sure to do a 1hr Al run and a 5 min BeO run in the middle of the setting.

    * If these settings are completed (sometime Saturday day), go to kinematic setting #5 by moving the LHRS to 30 degrees, and change the momentum to 625 MeV/c. The RHRS doesn't change.

    * Collect 608 mC at kinematic setting #5. Make sure to do a 1hr Al run and a 5 min BeO run in the middle of the setting.

    * Check the signal-to-noise in the standard plots (instructions posted near adaql2) and adjust the prescales to get the rates posted on the white board. Post the plots.

    Please don't hesitate to call the RC phone if you have any questions.
