keyword=HRSs Detectors update
(All indexes start with '1')
1,L-HRS:
a) S1 HVs have been adjusted to align ADC.(David put the new values
in,check:
http://www.jlab.org/~adaq/halog/html/1103_archive/110304021451.html)
b) Cerenkov detector is back and all signals look OK.
c) Do a little modification on delay of Retiming signal and L1A signal
to make L1A comes earlier than retming signal.
In general, L-HRS has no any bad detector (so far!)
2,R-HRS:
a) Shower #41 functions normal now. Its BNCtoECL black cable from Patch
Panel downstairs to Fast Bus was disconnected by some reason I don't know
but I put it back and see the signal
b) The extremely broad pedestal(300 adc-channels) of PreShower#19R is
gone by puting its signal into another patch-panel(PP) channel in the
slot of Cerenkov.
(FYI, detail for what I did: I checked the signal directly from its PMT
and from downstairs PP, and they are both clean. I tried to move the ADC
signal into different ADC channel but the pedestal is still very broad.
After discussing with Bogdan and Kalyan, we all think the reason could be
that the two PP channels of PS#19R at upstairs and downstairs are not
grouded properly so the 60Hz backgroup mixs into the ADC spectrum. Since
the two slots of PP upstairs and downstairs for Cerenkov only need 10
channels, I put the cable from PS#19R PMTs into the #15 of the slots,
then use the same BNCtoECL black cable of PS#19R to send the signl into
ADC. After this change, the very broad pedestal dispears.)
c) S1-ADC#3L has a ~200 adc-channels wide pedestal. The good thing is
that the single photon electron peak is ~300 adc-channels away from this
peak. Eli suggests now to touch that so I will leave this till the end of
this experiment.
(my previous halog about this
issue:http://www.jlab.org/~adaq/halog/html/1103_archive/110304012040.html)
d) S1 HVs are not updated since Eli suggested not to do it. I will do
it at the end of this experiment.
e) Cer-ADC#5,#7 have broad pedestal peaks. I move the whole connector
of Cerenkov ADCs from ROC2.Slot22.32~47 to ROC2.Slot22.48~63. I will look
at the cosmic ray data later to see if they are fixed.
(See my previous
halog:http://www.jlab.org/~adaq/halog/html/1103_archive/110302154309.html)
f) Cer-TDC#3,#4,#7,#8 have double peaks. I checked the TDC signals from
the scope and did not see constant(~100ns) reflection peaks, but only
very random after-pulses. Still don't know what is going on.

In general for R-Arm, all Showers and PreShowers are finanly working!
S1-3L has a broad pedestal peak but it is not serious for this
experiment,as well as two cerenkov counters.
