With Igor's help, I checked the coincidence timing for both T5 and T6 against
the expected arrival time for the ADC signals against the gate. We found
the time rather marginal. This was known for the BB singles after Brad
and I did retiming for BB. The events timed directly from T3 was fine.
However now, we need to delay T3 to form the coincidence and align the
triggers after T5 at the trigger supervisor.
For low proton momenta, the timing is probably okay but marginal. Once
we go to 600-800 MeV/c momenta, the ADC signals are probably going to come
after the gate opens less than 40 ns. Hence the signals will be cut for
the E and dE planes. Igor and I removed as much delay from the L1A as
possible before forming the gate, but we are out of delay.
Tomorrow we will need to add about 16-20 ns of extra delay to each
dE/E-plane channel (96). We have the patch panels and cables from the
BigBite front-end electronics. Igor, Or and Eli will work on this
first thing tomrorow morning. The only thing we might need are lemo-to-
BNC connectors.
