Timeline

16:00 - Shift starts, no beam because the power supply for dipole MBSY1C
has died and they cannot send us beam without it.  Cosmic run 4357 in
progress.

17:47 - MCC calls, the power supply is fixed.  We ask for 5 muA into the
hall.  We get it and adjust the beam positions.

17:54 - We changed our target to the BeO target.  We took spectrometer
pointing run 4360 with no raster at 5 muA.  Runs 4358 and 4359 are also
BeO target runs, but had issues, so they are junk.

18:23 - We changed to the carbon optics target.  We took spectrometer
pointing run 4361 with no raster at 5 muA.  

18:47 - We had the raster turned on to 2 by 2 mm and took a spot_L run
(4362) at 10 muA.  The spot_L plots looked okay.  See halog 358842.

18:52 - We moved to the slanted carbon target, and turned on the HV for
Hand and BigBite.  We then asked for 30 muA and started a run (4363) for
about 1 hour.

19:10 - Stopped run 4363 early because some detectors in BigBite were
still off.  Turned them on and started run 4364.

19:40 - We have had eight HV trips in the last thirty minutes.  We've
gotten our back-room experts to look at it.

20.17 - We have moved to the 20 cm dummy target.  We are taking a run
(4365) at 5 muA.  We dropped the beam current to 4 muA because the rates
seemed high.

20:26 - Trigger supervisor has an issue.  Reboot trigger supervisor and
reset CODA!

20:28 - New run 4366 on the 20 cm dummy target at 4 muA. CODA dies!  Reboot!

20:34 - After some CODA wrangling, we are taking a new run (4367) on the
20 cm dummy target at 4 muA.

20:38 - ROC5 crashed and rebooted (it had a memory error).

20:43 - After some more CODA wrangling, we are taking a new run (4368) on
the 20 cm dummy target at 4 muA.

21:45 - We have moved to the 20 cm He-4 target.  We are taking a run
(4369) with 4 muA.

22:27 - Plane 5, Right 3 seems to have silently tripped, and we were
worried that it had died, but it did ramp back up.  But then it went
down, even though the HV is still ramped up.  See Halog 358875.

22:34 - The data rate went crazy, and so Vince is trying to fix the
problem.  See halog 358877.  He has disabled the T4 trigger and we are
taking another run.

22:36 - Run 4370 on the 20 cm He-4 target, with 4 muA, running to 1 M
events.  This run is without the T4 trigger.

23:54 - Run 4371 on the 20 cm He-4 target, with 4 muA, running to 1 M
events.  This run is without the T4 trigger.





Notes for the next shift crew:

1. Take data on He-4!

2. The third should be careful that if the rates go to 0, but the beam is
not tripped, you probably need to restart CODA.
