    keyword=VDC high voltage

    I checked the HV supplies for the VDCs, using a dummy load. The Left Arm checks out ok, the supplies trip at about the correct level and do not reset until the GUI button is clicked. The Right Arm top VDC seems to have a broken cable going to the remote reset. It looks like people have been doing a bit of fooling around in the bottom of the rack where one of the unions in the line is. The Right Arm bottom VDC is ok. For both arms the field for the Top VDC does control the voltage to the Top VDC. Reset #1 on both arms resets the Top VDC supply. I have set the Left Arm VDCs to 4kV, they should be good to go. I have left the Right Arm VDCs off till I get the reset line repaired. It is perhaps a down side to the way I did the remote resets, if the line is disconnected the power supply is in "autoreset" mode. Perhaps this can be addressed during "the long down".
