Kalyan and I were looking at the BPM electronics yesterday and were wondering if we still needed the splitters upstream of the BPM receiver box. The splitters are hanging off the main BPM cables behind the beamline rack nearest the green shield wall (see photo). Those are at least a 2-way passive split (maybe 3-way?, not sure what the terminated upper connection is for).
Anyway, as far as Kalyan and I could tell, one of the two cables just runs into the old, unused BPM electronics. You could double your signal strength right at the front-end by replacing the splitter with a barrel.
